The big hitters are jumping to the top of the leaderboard (except Kisner…). Woodland Koepka and DJ make three of the top four. Woodland also birdies 8 to tie Kisner at 10 under. He’s got one hole let to close out a spectacular 36-hole stretch.
Is right on the rope line. Not the worst line in the world but you know fairway is nicer. He smoked his 4-iron from here to the front edge of the green. Great shot. While you’re here watch this new show from GOLF.com: The Drop Zone
Rory Rahm Gary Woodland. Not Zach Johnson. Nor Zach Johnson. Everyone! They’re gonna tear this place to shreds. If it does rain on the weekend I could see 20 under winning. Rory was my pick to win before the rain and the soft conditions only make me like his chances more. Bring on the red numbers!
Charl Schwartzel misses his chance at 62…but he makes a 4-footer for 63 which is a record folks. 63s don’t come around often…but they are today. Rickie Fowler tees off five shots back. Scoring conditions are RIPE today. Course average is under par.
It’s gotta be tough just starting your round now; it means looking UP on the leaderboard. The top 12 players have already finished their second rounds. For those of you on “low club pro” watch Texan Ben Kern is currently low man. He’s +1 and will need a bit of good fortune to make the cut.
